Delete your account
CleanMates - Flux Developments Ltd
You can delete your CleanMates account and its data at any time. There are two ways to do it.
1. In the app (fastest)
- Open CleanMates and go to Profile
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account
- Confirm when prompted
Your account and personal data are removed straight away. Nothing else is required.
2. By email
If you can no longer sign in, email us and we will delete the account for you.

Put "Account deletion request" in the subject line and send it from the email address you signed up with, so we can verify it is you.
We respond within 2-3 working days and complete deletion within 30 days of the request.
Deleting some of your data without closing your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. From inside the app you can:
- Delete a chore log and its photo - open the log and delete it. The photo is removed with it.
- Delete your message board posts - you can remove any post or reply you wrote.
- Remove a recurring payment you added, from the Money section of the Supplies tab.
- Remove shopping list items you added.
- Remove your payment link from your Profile at any time.
- Turn off notifications, which removes the push token we hold for your device.
If you would like other data removed and cannot do it in the app, email support@fluxdevelopments.co.uk and tell us what you want deleted.
What gets deleted when you close your account
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your account, email address and display name
- Your postcode
- Your chore completion history, points and streaks
- Any photos you uploaded as chore proof
- Your message board posts, replies and reactions
- Your recorded spending, settle-up records and recurring payments
- Any payment link you added to your profile
- Your push notification token
- Your deal and supply interaction history
What may remain
- Shared house data. A house you created continues to exist for the housemates still in it, along with the chores set up for that house. Your personal contribution history is removed.
- Legal and accounting records. Where the law requires us to keep certain records, we retain only what is necessary and for no longer than required.
- Backups. Data may persist in encrypted backups for a short period before those backups expire.
Retention period
Personal data is deleted within 30 days of your request. Backup copies expire within a further 30 days.
